main page: InvisibleUniverse2009These are just rough notes - feel free to correct them, add links, etc. from the Invisible Universe 28 June - 3 July 2009 meeting. These are not official proceedings. The speakers might even disagree that they said anything even vaguely related to what are in these online notes! Don't say you weren't warned.
Jim Peebles
planck spectrum from CMB is spectacularly planck-like
this is independent of GR
likes prospect of growth rate estimates (cf Lefevre et al)
Hammer et al. galaxy fundamental plane type stuff
MOND - high predictivity
but has not (yet) given CMB type tests
inhomogeneous stuff (Buchert et al)
gravitational clustering energy should give effective pressure to homog model, i.e. about p sim rho v^2 sim 10^-5 rhomean and u sim 10^-5 rhomean
agrees with 2nd order perturbation theory
ArXiv:0910.5142 - everything points to 10^-6, not 10^0, so inhomogeneous arguments cannot explain Omega_Lambda
