A parametric curve is determined by two real functions f (t) and g(t), on a parameter t. This curve is therefore the set of points (x=f (t),y=g(t)), for the different values of t. On the other hand, we also have the graphs of the two coordinate functions f (t) and g(t), which are curves.
This exercise can either present the two curves of f (t), g(t) and ask you to recognize the parametric curve (f (t),g(t)) among others, or present the parametric curve and ask you to recognize the curves of f (t) and g(t).
